Coe Press Equipment Corportion began manufacturing air feeds and coil cradles in Rochester, Michigan in 1976.  In 1980, Coe moved its operations to a larger facility in Sterling Heights, Michigan and expanded its product line to include coil reels and power straighteners. In 1982, Coe introduced its first servo feed. This technology launched them into their own line of servo feed controls and the production of customized packages and complete automated feed lines. Coe set itself apart from its competitors by joint venturing projects with press automation companies, press manufacturers and other OEM's. Coe has continued to expand with the design of bigger, more comprehensive coil processing and today designs and manufactures the heaviest and widest coil feeding systems available for the metalstamping industry today.

Cut-To-Length And Blanking

CTL/Blanking systems can include high-speed production shears, oscillating shear dies and shear presses; inline coil strip washers; edge trimming stations; single and multiple station blank stackers (including cost-effective drop stackers); a variety of stack handling configurations as well as scratch-free processing or "space-saving" configurations.

Heavy duty reel designed to hold one (1) 20,000 lb. coil. All motions controlled by push button control. Hydraulic wedge type expansion mechanism and threading drive. Coe’s full line of heavy duty power straightener equipment can process material at widths from 1.0” to 84.0” and thickness from .010” to .625”. The correct design of breaker roll diameter and center distance spacing provides effective removal of coil set for all material types and size combinations. Six different models are available to meet the widest range of material types and thickness. Models are provided with oversized pinch rolls to maintain rigidity and provide the pull-off capacity required for coil weights up to 60,000 pounds. Breaker roll sizes from 3.00” to 6.00” are available with the capability of providing roller “back-ups” for low deflection applications. A wide variety of options and custom engineering can be provided to meet any application demands.

These rugged machines are mounted on heavy-duty structural steel cabinet bases and typically outfitted with our Peeler / Threader / Hold Down system for effective hands-free threading of the toughest materials. Coil reels and coil cars have capacities ranging from 2,500 lbs. to 60,000 lbs. and widths ranging from 12” to 84.”   The design incorporates a unique
“bearing tube” with dual cup and cone Timken bearings to the mandrel
and a heavy duty cabinet base. Both motorized and pull-off type reels
are available, depending on the application. Single-end configurations
are provided as standard, and Double-ended configurations can be
provided to optimize production efficiency by lowering the coil
changeover time. Most models are available as Traveling Reels that
can be combined with automatic centering functions.

Coil handling accessory options include traveling coil cars, coil lift stations, traveling upenders, coil storage racks and turnstiles. Productivity options include coil hold downs, hold downs with motorized endwheels, coil keepers, power coil guides, and automatic backtension systems. Custom engineering can be provided to meet any application demands.

Air Feeds

The air feed is a cost effective entry level feeding system offered in a full range of sizes and capacities. Starting with the CF200 with a 2” diameter air feed cylinder through the CF600 with a 6” diameter air feed cylinder, this product can provide the driving force to meet any application needs. Wide and heavy material applications utilize an double-feed head for gripping and feeding the coil stock. The air feed equipment can be designed for special feeding applications including: wire feeding, tube feeding, push-pull applications, dual strip applications, and zig-zag applications.
